NY CATHARINE — Catharine Town Board discusses wind farm regulation and considers a proposed moratorium. Supervisor Richard Lewis and Councilmembers Ronald Hoffman, C. Michael Learn, Brett Reynolds, and Glenn Bleiler unanimously approved acceptance of June reports and payment of $56,336.79 in bills.
The board discussed preliminary wind farm legislation for the Hector area and stated a proposed moratorium will be considered at the next meeting following planning board completion of an amended draft. Kyle Edel, representing the Azalea wind project, announced an August 27 open house at the Mecklenburg Fire Department.
